Who are we?
Let's Knit - Yarn Festival is organised by Sophie the natural dyer behind Sionnach Yarns and Grace also known as Grace the Babbler, a crazy knitter, weaver, crafter, even dyer back in the day!
Ireland has not had a yarn festival since before the Pandemic and boy have we missed them!
We decided, why not us?
Sophie lives in the stunning Doolin on the Wild Atlantic Way, on the edge of Ireland in Country Clare. the scenery and history lends itself to the incredible crafts of Irish wool and Fiber traditions of Knitting, weaving and crochet.

Grace lives not too far away in the lovely Limerick City and has been in love with the stunning scenery and people of Clare for a long time.
We hope that you too will enjoy a yarny visit on the 29th October 2023!
Sophie
1. She was hosting a small knitting group in Blois, France, many years ago!
2. She tried natural dyeing after watching a podcast. Her first attempt was with acrylic yarn and turmeric. She learnt A LOT since. Like, you can't dye acrylic!
3. She promised an Aran Sweater to her husband. Many moons ago. Poor man is still waiting.
Grace
1. She is a craft collector but knitting is her first Yarny love. She loves to knit & create something slowly & consciously. She loves figuring out & fixing her mistakes but also just plain ignoring them 🤣
2. She has hosted retreats and small craft markets before but never a festival!!
3. She can’t wait to get to the pub for a good old fashioned singalong with friends x
